  1. Thanks for the great information! I have an I-Phone 7 Plus. I am having trouble getting access to “Headphone” setting for audio because of the new lighting port. Any suggestions about how to get around this challenge? Appreciate you!

  2. These are really informative! I have a question, though: I typically edit my videos in Premiere and have noticed that the built-in camera records at a variable frame rate despite the settings saying 30 fps, which leads to a noticeable drift in the audio over time. Does Filmic Pro take care of this problem?

    • Hi Nora. Thanks for the question. Are you on iOS or Android? On iOS, the frame rates should be locked when recording in 24, 25, 30 etc with no variability as of the latest version of FiLMiC Pro.
On Android this does happen because of the way the Android Camera API functions.

  3. Great content. You are a big help.

    Question for you.

I am a musician. I want to record videos of myself performing using just my voice and an acoustic guitar for sites like Instagam, Facebook, YouTube, etc.

How do I get the best sound possible without having to do a bunch of editing and/or having to simultaneously record then sync audio I’ve recorded on another device?

If there is not a good way to do that, what is the best way to control/edit the audio and then sync to video in post?

    Here’s what I have:
    iPhone 6
    Apogee MiC 96k

I am prepared to purchase either FilmicPro or MoviePro if you think one of those will help.

Note: I’ve looked everywhere for this info and you have come the closest to solving this. I think this would make a great tutorial since I bet there are a bunch of musicians out there looking for a way to make the best sounding performance videos.

    Thank you!
